So since i do not have one of these yet, i figured i would get one going that way i dont clog up the show room everytime i do something new.
Right now i am in the process of de-ricing the GTZ and actually making it look more like a Beretta should be. Things line up is an all four wheel dics brake upgrade, cleaning up the engine bay, rebuilding my intake, lots of cosmetics, dash swap (original dash from swap is cracking), body work, and a lot of other things. So to start things off, heres the BEFORE pics of the car. Yes i posted these pics in the showroom, but they should be here. Tall SCX shifter, knob and boot (IMG:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/90GTZHO/IMGA0795.jpg) Exhaust tips need some love (IMG:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/90GTZHO/IMGA0808.jpg) Damn theres too much color under here (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) (IMG:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/90GTZHO/The%20GTZ/100_2161.jpg) (IMG:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/90GTZHO/The%20GTZ/100_2162.jpg) (IMG:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/90GTZHO/The%20GTZ/100_2163.jpg) This post has been edited by 90GTZHO: Aug 5 2010, 02:39 PM -------------------- Geoff

the turbo and the manifold both will be heat shielded. Im not gonna shield the rack, if the manifold will have it. I will see whats easier to put a sheild on and go from there

Woody, reason being, it will give me full control over the car minus some emissions. Only thing it will not control is the SES light. I know i could go with a FMU and some bigger injectors, but i want a more precise system. With just doing something like an FMU and larger injectors, its too much to try and adjust and get it right. This way, i have a computer doing it for me, and and it does all the calculations for me. Since im no good at math, this is a more trustworthy way to do it. In all honesty, coming from someone that has done a full aftermarket computer, this reasoning is a pretty poor reason especially with everything else being done right and putting the entire system on a crutch with this method. I know the Rex mobile originally had a Electromotive TecII and I've run a Haltech and while yes it may be more work in the beginning but you have completely control over everything and don't have to deal with an SES light and can easily keep the speedo working. I forget on the TecII but the Haltech we have has an easy Wideband input so you can datalog and tune with wideband with no issues at all, plus with a trim control module placed by the shifter you can easily control a number of things. So much nicer and much more freedom over the system. -------------------- Brian Edwards

Not much in progress as of right now. I have been workin my butt off and also doing some fixes to my new car. The GTZ should have a new update here shortly when i can get back out to my dads and work on the intake/charge pipe manifold.
