Around 5 sec from start of retarding to leveling out, that is if i stop pumping the pedal.
Do you have some kind of isolation material on the knock sensor or is it straight thread to thread where it screws into the block?

I'm pretty sure it's still a factory install since i haven't unbolted it ever.

This is gonna sound crazy. Try putting 1 round of electrical tape over the sensor threads and screw it back in. Also what tempature plugs do you have in it?

While i was checking for possible trouble codes, i noticed that pumping the throttle at neutral, Or dipping the gas at downshifting does make the ECM think it's detonating and retards spark for a while.
It could be mistaking the mechanical noises caused by my not-so-flexible transmission mounting, Or the aggressive fuel explosions from the exhaust, those really came alive after i swapped to metallic core cat converter...
How long is a while? 20 seconds or more like 40. Did you happen to also count the time it took to level back out?

Lol @ knock retard

Why weba, take you everything appart that has a motor in it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/Aww_Yeah.gif)

Well atleast this car is getting way better, but i thought this was just a daily driver, not a daily project??

W-26 is where your sway bar end links connect to the strut insted of the lower control arm. They only did it in 92.

FE7 sway bars and springs on a GT with Indy wheels. Black white & teal only.

100 % dutch car (and rust :-( ), i buyed it for weba, weba picked it up in the netherlands, and drove it back to Finland
Porbebly the only w26 in europe

greets Steve

Well the rusting has now taken care at, if not counting worn paint and few dings, the body is in good condition to it's age, thanks to undercoating and cavity waxing and added mudflaps, i'm pretty sure/i hope it should be good for next 10 years... *knock knock* And that is a lot on the harsh enviroment we have up here.... (And most likely next time i look under the car, rear springs supports are going to need attention..)

Everything else on the car works perfect, except all the issues what came with Isuzu swap, like:
- ABS does not work, i think it's the drivers side axle having something (not visible) wrong in it.
- EXTREME drivetrain shaking trying to tare the car apart around 2000rpm when releasing pedal\or pushing it.
- Noicy clutch bearing in cold weather due to mix-matched clutch setup
- Useless 1st gear (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink1.gif)

What comes to the Isuzu trans it self, it still shifts smooth and nice with no issues from the over-the-spec torq sent to it. Maybe it's the added protection of Redline MTL fluid and RVS technology treatment.

Now if i only could find a Getrag to this car, all the issues on the car would be solved at once...

Oh the car will get new muffler soon, since i was not happy with the exhaust tone i had with my latest setup. Also the car is going to need new brake pads (Greenstuffs lasted a year), front summer tires, winter tires and alignment.

Hey Weba, great to see you started to work on the black one ;-)
Maybe we'll again next year if the European meet occurs again?
Cheers from Geneva!
