This may not be of any help.but I thought i'd reply anyway...lol..........I have used one of those carpet dash mats before however, it was on an 89. I bought a black one from ebay,it didn't look to bad,but it didn't seem to stay placed,I had to use some velcro strips to get it to stay in place,I am sure there are better one's available,I wasn't happy with it,but also wasn't un-happy with it....can I ask why you want one? I had used one because the dash was cracked!!!

same reason i just bought a 95 z and the interior is gettin all fixed back and painted back right from the stupid kid that owned it, and the only part i cant fix is the massive hole in the dash where they usually bubble... since the car was really bought to flip i dont see the point in putting a new dash in it..

I'd say to do it. You might like it and if there is a "massive hole" like you say...chances are it will look better covered up! The one I had for my 89,like I said I bought it off ebay, and I have seen better one's out there since then, but I have been lucky that all the dashe's in my car's now are in really good shape!!!! But it won't hurt to try,so go with it!!!

I currently have one in my 92 gt (it has the round dash). it kind slides of if you do not stick it on but it works. the only thing i would recommend is get it the color of the interior so it doesn't look wierd. That sucks that your dash is broken.

If you could grab a pic that would be great. My dash is one of very few imperfections after my resto.

I have seen these on ebay once before and thought about this idea too but i took the hard way and ripped my dash out for the last yr LOL and fiberglassed it, done some work on it last couple of weeks and got it primed at least and stuck in the car so i can drive it until winter and pull it out to finish it, might mold some gauges into it and stuff. i will post some pictures of my blue beast soon (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

This is how i fixed my dash, i used cloth and resin to start 3 layers maybe more, then mar glass and bondo and lots and lots of sanding LOL, had to put it in the car as i got it on the road finally, didnt have a need driving the work truck for over a yr but got tired of the 30 bucks a day for gas when the car uses like 10. have to pull it out in the winter and finish it but here it is right now.
