Fix your car. Its not really a money issue.

Mike Morris actually says what I feel about it, in a nut-shell, but I wouldn't say that here without qualifying it too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I don't know how attached you are to your car, but sentiment means alot too, otherwise Berettas wouldn't be quite so beloved as they are here, I think (not to say they aren't good -even great- cars, they are, but without sentiment, who would really care about a 14-23 year-old FWD GM passenger car?).

Robertsimone's car helps prove the point that these cars are (like any other) worth what we want them to be worth -what are you willing to put into them, what does someone else feel it is worth to them? Other examples: what do you think Weba's 'White Car' would be worth, especially in the States? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) How about RolinGTZ's car? To limit a car's value based on the resale of similar era/model cars in some area or another is kind of narrow-visioned, IMO. The car is worth fixing if it is worth fixing to you. 'Nuff said.

That's what happens here. Parts for the Beretta's I have owned were hard to find because the local yards keep them for a couple weeks TOPS and crush them. Some yards here get them in and crush them immediately.

Yea. Tell ME about it. I live in Northern WV right on the Ohio border and very close to Pennsylvania. I had to search for over a year to even find a Beretta (other than the beat up, blown motor Z26 i found close to my town, but it just went up for sale a few weeks ago.) When I actually found a couple for sale in the paper, I had to immediately get in the car and start driving to try and beat everyone else to them. I missed one, but drove on for another hour and finally picked up my 93 GT. So I know all about them being kinda rare. Haha. At least for my area. While I was looking at the car the owner received over 20 phone calls about it. He counted up over 50 phone calls he had on it in about 2 days

Since getting my first 'Retta, the '90 turbo, I have wanted a Z-26 (I now finally have one, twice! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ). A few years ago, I finally ran across a black V-6 with a blown tranny -I didn't care, it was going to get a five-speed swap anyway. I talked with the guy (either on the phone or over the web, I don't remember), and he said that some kid was driving out from this city 100 miles away, but if he didn't show, he would sell me the car. Due to how many calls he got, he was bumping the price up from ~$200 to $400, or $600 (again, the memory is fuzzy). I still thought that was a great price, so it didn't matter to me. But of course, the kid came and got it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/12.gif)

welp i decided to fix it....

brought it to the body shop and handed him a G cash to start.

thanks to chris (retguy88) for supplying most of the replacement parts.

*edit* he did take one look at my us body hood and said it would take 2 grand to fix with all the cracks in the top. so, i opted to just fix the major damage areas and spray it flat black for now.
